Come on out to the ENCHANTED GARDENS early on the morning of on May 1st, 2011 (Rain Date to be announced on the forum will be May 8th) to practice your macro shots with fellow HUPS members. David Lenderman’s family owns this beautiful nursery outside of Richmond. For those of you that attended last year, this is not the same place as we went last year so listen up below for new directions. The nursery is packed with display gardens, flowers, water features, insects, bugs and the like. Here is the web site: http://www.myenchanted.com/. It is a great place to photograph flowers, butterflies and other insects. We have arranged to have HUPS members come out at 8:00 am on Sunday May 1st before the nursery opens at 10:00am. This will allow HUPS folks to run around, set up tripods or whatever without bothering or being bothered by customers.
After you're tired of shooting bug pictures, David has invited the group over to his place for a pot luck Sunday brunch. He lives 5 minutes away from the nursery and will provide all the plates, flatware and napkins, coffee, juice etc. If everyone attending would bring a covered dish it will be a very nice social gathering for all. More info to follow as we get closer to the date.
